The Aiphone LEM-1 Open Voice master intercom works with one Aiphone LE series door or sub-master intercom (sold separately) to enable audio communication with visitors at a door and with other rooms within the building. The master intercom can initiate communication with and receive calls from a door or sub-master intercom. Depressing the push-to-talk button on the master allows the user to talk to the door or sub-master intercom user, and releasing the button immediately transmits sound from the door or sub-master intercom to the master for 20 seconds.At any time, the master user can listen to audio transmissions from the door or sub-master intercom. The audio volume is adjustable, and switching the power button to off silences the master intercom’s chime alerts. The housing is white plastic and mounts to a wall using the included bracket.
